Frieze is pleased to open applications for the Frieze and The OWO Sculpture Commission. This new initiative will award a UK artist the opportunity to realise a site-specific sculpture inside The OWO in London.

The former landmark Old War Office building on Whitehall is being transformed into The OWO, a new destination with a flagship Raffles hotel, residences and restaurants, opening from late 2022.

Welcoming applications from UK artists, Frieze and The OWO Sculpture Commission is an open call for an emerging artist to realize a work that reflects the diversity of today’s Britain, as well as responds to the structure, motifs, materials, and visual language of The OWO’s architecturally significant Grade II* listed structure. The deadline for submission is February 25, 2022, at 6pm GMT. Click here for the application form and FAQs. The artist will be granted a fee of £25,000 GBP and will be given a production budget.
