About the Project
A Time to Blossom, a large-scale inflatable sculpture created in collaboration with Art Production Fund for Frieze Los Angeles 2025, features a golden alarm clock crowned with vibrant orange blossoms. This time-based symbol serves as a radiant beacon of hope, inspiring growth, perseverance, and resilience. It is an ode to the human spirit and its ability to overcome life’s challenges with strength and grace. The sculpture also serves as a poignant reminder that time is precious—a call to spend it wisely, nurturing what truly matters and embracing the opportunities for transformation and renewal.
About the Artist
Greg Ito (b. 1987, Los Angeles, CA) earned his BFA from San Francisco Art Institute. His work has been exhibited widely in solo and group exhibitions including at Institute of Contemporary Art, San Diego, CA; Long Beach Museum of Art, Long Beach, CA; The Cantor Center of the Arts at Stanford University, Stanford, CA; K11 Musea, Hong Kong; Maki Gallery, Tokyo, Japan; SPURS Gallery, Beijing, China; Anat Ebgi, Los Angeles, CA and New York, NY; Lyles and King, New York, NY; Jeffrey Deitch, New York; NY and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA), San Francisco, CA. Ito’s work is included in the permanent collections of public institutions including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA); Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, CA; Crocker Art Museum, Sacramento, CA; Institute of Contemporary Art Miami (ICA Miami); and K11 Art Foundation, Hong Kong. Ito lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.
