The UK’s largest free festival of contemporary visual art, Liverpool Biennial runs until 14 September 2025. Its 13th edition, ‘BEDROCK’, reconsiders the city as a place where contemporary art engages with existing foundations – both geological and social – drawing inspiration from the sandstone which underpins Merseyside and is frequently found in its iconic architecture, as well as recognizing the diverse communities which have contributed to Liverpool.
