Born in Germany in 1926, Gustav Metzger lives and works in London, UK. In 2015, he had solo shows at Kunsthall Oslo and Kunstnernes Hus, Oslo, Norway; Museo Jumex, Mexico City, Mexico; Centre for Contemporary Art Znaki Czasu, Torun, Poland; in Germany at n.b.k., Berlin, and Haus der Kunst, Munich; as well as a collection display at Tate Britain, London. ‘Act or Perish! Gustav Metzger – A Retrospective’ will run at MUSAC, León, Spain, from 17 September 2016 to 8 January 2017.
