Xaviera Simmons

(b. 1974, New York) lives and works in New York. Recent solo performances and exhibitions include The Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Kansas City and Light Work, Syracuse (2015); David Castillo Gallery, Miami; The Museum Of Modern Art, New York and The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, Ridgefield CT (all 2013). Simmons is a recipient of the prestigious Foundation For Contemporary Art Grants For Artist Award in Visual Art (2015).
