About the Work
This pseudo-documentary tells the story of Lauren O, a fictional character who believes she can levitate. Su narrates Lauren O’s story from her membership in Laden Raven, an anarchist group of vaudeville performers, to her involvement with anti-Vietnam War protesters who, in 1967, attempted to levitate the US military headquarters at the Pentagon.
The 13th Seoul Mediacity Biennale (SMB13) × Frieze Film Seoul 2025
The 13th Seoul Mediacity Biennale presents a special screening program curated by artistic directors Anton Vidokle, Hallie Ayres and Lukas Brasiskis for Frieze Film Seoul 2025. The screenings will take place on the rooftop of Seoul Museum of Art and feature a selection of artists’ films that converge spiritual, mystical, and magical forces on the screen in ways that change our understanding of everyday life. Composed in four chapters - Harmony, Reclaiming, Communion, and Waking Dreams - the screening programme will be accompanied by introductions by the artistic directors and a reception on the programme’s opening day.
