Frieze 91 members are invited to an intimate visit with Andrew Zolty, the artist known as BREAKFAST, at his expansive, one-of-a-kind studio. Enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at his creative process, which combines proprietary engineering with creative storytelling to produce large-scale kinetic sculptures.
Andrew Zolty, known as BREAKFAST, is a data and kinetic artist who transforms real-time data from the natural world into mesmerizing, digitally controlled sculptures. From ocean waves to solar activity, his works translate the movement of distant events into dynamic, physical experiences, creating a profound connection between viewers and the world around them.
Combining a lifelong passion for art, engineering, and interaction design, BREAKFAST tells stories through the language of data, merging creativity with precision. Over the past 15 years, he has built a studio capable of pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, where engineering and artistic vision inspire one another to create groundbreaking kinetic artworks. This year, Zolty's works have shown at Venice Biennale, the Rockefeller Centre and Harvard University.
