Frieze Connect members are invited to a private reception at Kew Gardens to celebrate the opening of Material World — the garden’s first festival dedicated to fashion, textiles, and sustainability.
Hosted in the iconic Temperate House, the evening offers members an exclusive first look at the exhibition, which brings together leading artists, award-winning designers, and expert horticulturists to explore the transformative role of plants and fungi in shaping the future of fashion.
Highlights include a major new installation by artist and environmentalist Nnenna Okore, created entirely from biodegradable materials, as well as a living garden by designer Lottie Delamain that showcases the plants behind natural dyes and fibres. A collaboration with London College of Fashion reveals contemporary approaches to sustainable style, and throughout the festival, the programme invites visitors to reimagine the connection between what we wear and the natural world.
Guests will be welcomed for drinks and a private viewing ahead of the public opening.
