An exclusive opportunity to view the new group exhibition at the New Art Centre The Most Real Thing: contemporary textiles and sculpture. This exhibition brings together diverse artists and makers, including Phyllida Barlow, Naum Gabo, Barbara Hepworth, Eva Rothschild and Yinka Shonibare MBE among others, to examine the ongoing relationship between sculpture and textiles, including work made using a range of techniques and media, from three-dimensional objects, contemporary painting, costume and performance to fabric, craft and design.

There will also be the chance to explore the recently completed exhibition space, the Design House at the New Art Centre, where a new collection of jewellery and sculpture titled Compressed Lines by London-based designer Alexandra Jefford will be exhibited.

After lunch in Roche Court, a director and curator led tour of The Most Real Thing exhibition will be followed by a performance by Alexis Teplin. Teplin's practice is rooted in abstract painting, using costume and performance reminiscent of Bauhaus theatre.

The New Art Centre, based at Roche Court in Wiltshire, is one of the most interesting sculpture parks in the UK with large scale work by Anthony Caro, Barry Flanagan, Barbara Hepworth and Richard Long and others on view throughout the park together with new work by contemporary artists Dorothy Cross, Eilis O'Connell, Zak Ové, Conrad Shawcross and Toby Ziegler.

Places are limited. To RSVP to this event, please email: rsvp@sculpture.uk.com or call 01980 862244
