This summer, Frieze Connect members are invited to experience Diane Arbus: Constellation, the largest presentation of Arbus’s work to date and a landmark exhibition co-presented by Park Avenue Armory and the LUMA Foundation. Making its North American premiere, Constellation brings together more than 450 prints, many previously unpublished, in an immersive installation that invites viewers to explore the extraordinary breadth of Arbus’s photographic legacy.
Set within the vast Wade Thompson Drill Hall, the exhibition reimagines traditional gallery formats, encouraging visitors to wander freely among Arbus’s haunting, empathetic portraits of postwar American life. From everyday New Yorkers to individuals living outside the mainstream, her subjects reflect a vision of humanity that is both deeply personal and profoundly universal.
Admission also includes access to film screenings in the Armory’s Board of Officers Room, offering insights into Arbus’s techniques and influence through conversations with experts close to her practice.
