Sir John Soane's Museum: Langlands & Bell - Degrees of Truth (In-Person and Digital)

Join us for a special Frieze Week Private View of the Sir John Soane’s Museum -The extraordinary house and museum of the British architect Sir John Soane (1753-1837), whose collection included thousands of objects ranging from Ancient Egyptian antiquities and Roman sculpture to models of contemporary buildings. Our current exhibition, Langlands & Bell: Degrees of Truth, features a series of new works specially commissioned for the exhibition and works borrowed from public and private collections across the UK. These are installed across the Museum in dialogue with Sir John Soane’s collection of art, architecture and antiquities.

Please note, bookings for this event are limited to Frieze VIPs who have received an invitation and to one ticket per person.

Due to current circumstances, heightened precautions are in place to protect guests, limiting numbers at each event. It is more important than ever that guests who sign up for an in-person event, but are not longer able to attend, cancel their ticket in advance, allowing others a chance to participate. Please only sign up to events you intend to attend.

When visiting the Museum, please:
• Arrive at the Museum for the date and time of your ticket, no more than five minutes before your time slot. There is no need to present your ticket
• Wear a face covering, unless exempt
• Maintain physical distancing from staff and other visitors
• Our cloakroom is currently closed, so we ask that visitors do not bring any luggage or large bags to the Museum, this includes: rucksacks, suitcases, prams and bikes. As the Museum spaces are narrow and our Museum objects are fragile, we will provide a clear plastic bag for any small items you’d like to carry. The dimensions of the bag are 375mm x 450mm + 75mm deep
• Photography is permitted with small cameras or mobile phones inside the Museum, but flash photography, tripods, selfie sticks and large cameras are not permitted.

• Do not travel to the PV should yourself or anyone you live with be showing symptoms of Coronavirus including; a new and continuous cough, shortness of breath, a fever or loss of taste or smell.  
• Should you or someone you have been in contact with develop symptoms within a week of attending the PV, please self-isolate and notify a member of Frieze immediately. 
• Face masks are compulsory at all times on the premises, proof of exemption must be shown if a face mask cannot be worn. Masks must fully cover mouth and nose, shields will not be acceptable.  
• All attendees are required to complete track and trace information to enter the venue. 
• Please download the NHS Covid-19 Track and Trace App in advance of your visit as you will be asked to scan the QR code with your smart phone on arrival, as required by government guidelines
