The Hotel Chelsea

The Hotel Chelsea offers a rare experience in a historic, 19th century landmark.

After over a decade in the dark, New York City’s Hotel Chelsea has once again opened its doors to the public. Since its last guests checked out in 2011, the iconic 19th-century landmark has undergone thorough construction and thoughtful renovation—but as of spring 2022, it has officially been restored to its original glory. The hotel's century-old El Quijote restaurant is also open, alongside a grand lobby bar, and a vibrant French-American bistro, Café Chelsea.

With 160 rooms, suites, and apartments, public and private event spaces, and a host of luxurious amenities, the Hotel Chelsea is ready to welcome old and new acquaintances alike. But as it opens its doors with a renewed spirit, one thing is certain: It will introduce you to a corner of New York that does not exist anywhere else.
