At Central Galeria we celebrate creativity, tolerance and diversity. We seek to be an inclusive place, both online and off-line. Since 2016 under the administration of Fernanda Resstom, the gallery presents a program designed to grow beyond the gallery’s walls, spreading through its surroundings – whether via exhibitions, debates, publications or special projects.
We’re committed to disseminate ideas about contemporary art, serving as a laboratory for experimentations and projects suggested by the group of guest artists and curators. We also often host projects in partnership with institutions, galleries and independent venues.
Central represents artists whose poetics revolve around the architecture realm and explore the connections between subject and urban landscape from a decolonial point of view. We aim to be a platform for national and international promotion for our artists, supporting them in the flourishing and acknowledgement of their careers.
Central is a member of the International Galleries Alliance (IGA) ,the Brazilian Association of Contemporary Art (ABACT) and the Gallery Climate Coalition (GCC). It is part of the Council of Latitude - Platform for Brazilian Art Galleries Abroad.
