Founded in 2011, Tiwani Contemporary exhibits and represents international emerging and established artists, focusing on Africa and its diaspora. The gallery presents work through its exhibition programme and participation in art fairs. The gallery quickly established itself as a platform for showcasing new talent from the continent. Artists such as Njideka Akunyili-Crosby, Emeka Ogboh, Simone Leigh and Kapwani Kiwanga exhibited at Tiwani Contemporary in the early stages of their career. Tiwani Contemporary's roster of represented and exhibited artists include: Mequitta Ahuja, Virginia Chihota, Theo Eshetu, Andrew Esiebo, Mary Evans, Delio Jasse, Joy Labinjo, Gareth Nyandoro, Theirry Oussou, Dawit L. Petros, Leo Robinson, Zina Saro-Wiwa, Pamela Phatsimo Sunstrum, Robel Temesgen and Michaela Yearwood-Dan.
