Digital Programme Manager

The position of Digital Programme Manager sits at the heart of the Digital Team to own, develop and deliver the exciting programme of digital projects and products across the business as well as to oversee critical platforms and technical supplier relationships.

About the Role

The position of Digital Programme Manager sits at the heart of the Digital Team to own, develop and deliver the exciting programme of digital projects and products across the business as well as to oversee critical platforms and technical supplier relationships. Suited to an experienced but ambitious web-focused technology project manager the role is a fantastic opportunity to develop experience and skills through exposure to a wide range of projects and responsibilities within a dynamic digital publishing and events business across digital product and platform management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day to day operational responsibility for digital platforms and systems (excluding Drupal web ops, managed by the development team)
  • Ownership of the overall digital delivery plan and schedule; co-ordinating project delivery with internal departments/timelines and external resources, maintaining project plans, documentation, risk management and stakeholder management
  • Manage relationships, prioritisation and delivery with digital agencies and other online technology suppliers/contractors
  • Oversight of digital budget and day to day cost control for digital platforms
  • Project scoping and requirements management for digital and web products and projects including mobile, SugarCRM and other digital platforms
  • Ensure timely and budget-managed delivery of web and digital projects
  • Line management of Product Manager (perm) and Digital Project Manager (contract)

Experience Required

  • A number of years technical project management experience within a digital agency or multiplatform digital publishing environment
  • Line management of project management and/or product management teams is highly desirable
  • Accredited project management training highly desired; working experience of both waterfall and agile project methodologies is essential
  • Strong working understanding of project governance, documentation upkeep, stakeholder engagement, management and communications across technical and non-technical teams
  • Technical project management experience of Drupal a strong advantage
  • Working experience of app development and/or mobile website development an advantage
  • Broad and detailed knowledge of web publishing technology and ecosystem
  • Advantageous experience; Google Ad Manager or other SSP/advertising platform, Google Analytics / GTM, SugarCRM or other enterprise CRM platform, App product experience, Stripe or other payment integration

Working Conditions 

  • This is a permanent/fixed term position.
  • Please note, remote working set up until lockdown restrictions have been lifted. Thereafter, the role would be based at Frieze offices, London UK
  • Working hours are 10.00 – 18:00, Monday to Friday 
  • Occasional travel and weekend work may be required
