Events Manager, FTC Frieze Seoul 2024

The Role and What You'll Do:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Temporary Events Manager to join our dynamic team in the lead up to and during Frieze Seoul in Korea. As an Events Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organising, and executing a wide range of events, ensuring their successful implementation from conception to completion. Your exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously will be essential in this role. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of delivering successful events while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.

Please note this is a short-term month contract from June to early-September 2024.

Event Planning and Execution:

  • Liaise with Events team (based in London) and VIP Manager (based in Seoul)
  • Upkeep guest lists and collate RSVPs across inboxes.
  • Manage on-site check-in.
  • Assist website events listings and invite creation.
  • Support team with administrative tasks.
  • Source and site visit venues and lease with vendors and service providers.
  • Oversee logistics, including event setup, staging, audio-visual requirements, and signage.
  • Manage event registrations- Check in and attendee communication

Team Management and Collaboration:

  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring smooth event execution.
  • Manage and provide guidance, support, and training to temporary event staff

You Have These:

  • Proven experience in events management, hospitality, or high-end brands preferred, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills in both Korean and English
  • Interest or understanding of art world preferred
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated budgeting and financial management skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
