Temporary Press Office Manager, Frieze London and Frieze Masters 

The Press Office Manager will oversee the logistics of the press office for Frieze London and Frieze Masters. This is a busy role that will organise all aspects of media attendance for the two fairs and oversee the onsite press offices – the role will require coordination of the press accreditation system and invitations to fair which allow for media access, vetting credentials and management of more junior temporary staff. This role is ideal for someone who relishes schedules and organisation; some understanding and experience of how the media is also a major asset. It is a busy, demanding position so the ability to remain cool under pressure is essential. 

The role is to start as soon as possible and last until the end of the fairs in October – there is also the requirement for some data management after the fairs. Applicants must be able to commute to the Frieze offices in The Strand, London.  

Key accountabilities:

  • Oversee media accreditation / media VIP access for Frieze London and Frieze Masters
  • Assemble and oversee schedules for visiting media
  • Oversee filming schedules
  • Oversee temporary staff schedules
  • Maintain press kits for internal and external use as directed
  • Provide general administrative support, including invoicing, meeting co-ordination and database maintenance
  • Build relationship and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders
  • Support with agency management and day-to-day liaison
  • Monitoring news agenda and update team on key developments and updates
  • Requirements:
  • Excellent communications skills – both written and oral
  • Some understanding of the media landscape gained through proven Media Relations/PR experience
  • Experience working in a busy press office or a comparable environment
  • Excellent organisational skills to help formalise processes
  • A team player who can work with multiple stakeholders across different organisations
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
