Who We Are Looking For

Frieze is looking to hire a Senior VIP Manager to manage relationships with external organisation during and outside of fair time with a particular focus on the UK and EU. This Senior VIP Manager will oversee all aspects of these vital relationships.

 

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

VIP Strategy: 

  • Support strategic goals for Frieze’s global activities across Frieze fairs, Frieze viewing rooms, membership and new initiatives
  • VIP Cultivation: Cultivate specific relations; support year-round cultivation planning and putting together programs
  • Manage VIP Programming with Head of Events including Special Visits + Experiences for top tier VIPs
  • Relations Management: Lead relations with museums & institutions in UK + EU
  • Database Management: Work closely with Director on processes and data capture
  • Attend Gallery and Institution openings in London 
  • Support special projects that promote audience development + delivery of VIPs 
  • Oversee nomination outreach (confirm lists, draft copy, liaise with Data on issuing links/allocations) 
  • Patron groups – liaise with Partnerships, Events, Fair Directors and other departments to accommodate groups requiring tours, gatherings, special itineraries etc. at the fairs 

 

VIP Communications

  • Oversee VIP Communications
  • Work with VIP Manager to create and manage Comms timeline for all fairs 
  • Attend communication/marketing/content related meetings 

 

Team Management

  • Line management of a small team
  • Management of weekly team meetings 
  • Assist project management and timelines regarding VIP invitations 
  • Join VIP Director, or on her behalf as needed for meetings with fair directors and management 
  • Support VIP Director with strategy and cultivation plans on VIP audience experience 
  • Support VIP Director with team expansion and team management tasks including recruitment and HR processes

 

Finance: 

  • Support the VIP Director with managing budgets 
  • Assist, along with Team Coordinator, with tracking and submitting team expenses 

 

Please Note

  • Travel to fairs if required
  • Extra working hours may be needed pre fair and during fair
  • Expected to network and therefore manage time in/outside of office

  • To have worked in a large international brand or a smaller relationship driven company
  • Art world, wealth management, hospitality, luxury
  • Understanding of customer service and importance of creating experiences
  • Knowledge of Art Industry; passion for the Arts
  • Diverse background, knowledge of working with other cultures and associated etiquettes
