Senior VIP Relations Manager

In October 2021, Frieze launched No.9 Cork Street, a hub for visiting international galleries in the heart of Mayfair, London. Frieze is part of the IMG network.

IMG is a global leader in sports, fashion, events, and media and is a subsidiary of Endeavor, a global entertainment, sports and content company.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
VIP Strategy:
• Support strategic goals for Frieze’s global activities across Frieze fairs, Frieze view ing rooms, membership and new initiatives
• VIP Cultivation: Cultivate specific relations; support year-round cultivation planning and putting together programs
• Program Management: Manage VIP Programming; Lead Off Diary programming; Contribute to ’91 Programming
• Relations Management: Lead relations with museums, institutions, special groups and advisors in UK, EU and Americas
• Database Management: Work closely with Global Head on processes and data capture
Interface to exhibitor department and gallery relations; manage nominations and processes
• Interface to operations department: oversee onsite fair production in relation to VIP

Finance Management:
• Support Global Head with budget management and associated processes (invoices) and admin
• Website maintenance: Update content and VIP related facades
• Team Management: Lead team meetings; work together with Global Head on team development

Please Note
• Travel to fairs if required
• Extra working hours may be needed pre fair and during fair
• Expected to network and therefore manage time in/outside of office

• Relations and expansion of database - build key relations with major stakeholders; strengthen data capture processes and increase database
• Finance – support budget planning and administrative processes; strategic budgeting

Knowledge and Experience
• Extensive work experience in similar role including managing teams
• To have worked in a large international brand or a smaller relationship driven company
Art world, wealth management, hospitality, luxury
• Understanding of customer service and importance of creating experiences
Desirable
• Knowledge of Art Industry; passion for the Arts
• Diverse background, knowledge of working with other cultures and associated etiquettes
• Ideal: has network in USA but not essential

Skills and Abilities
• Excellent organisational and time management
• Excellent people management
• Able to work under pressure
• Experience of working with data, analytics and a database
• Experience of using Microsoft applications

Working Conditions
• This is a permanent position
• This role will be based in Surrey Street, London
• Working hours are 10:00 – 18:00, Monday to Friday
• Occasional travel and weekend work may be required
