Web Assistant

Frieze is looking for a digitally savvy Web Assistant to support across editorial content, fairs and events. The successful candidate should be digitally literate, with a good understanding of CMS systems and an interest in art and culture. The role will be split between digital publishing and events.

Job Title: Web Assistant

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week)

Location: London Office

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and maintaining site standards, ensuring website and membership dashboard is up to date with correct creative and packaged in a visually pleasing way
  • Responsible for inputting and overseeing the digital representation of fair, events and VIP programming
  • Ownership over gallery and event listings, liaising with galleries over edits and images
  • Archiving the frieze back catalogue, updating old content to meet current SEO standards
  • Liaising across departments to ensure the artwork and copy is delivered on time and respects the specifications provided
  • Creating and overseeing Maps for fairs and events
  • Co-hosting digital events, handling RSVP’s and digital bookings and supplying on-hand technical support
  • Review and feedback on competitors - highlighting new features, digital trends and activity
  • Processing invoices for digital commissions
  • Assist in creation and management of web campaigns with Google Ads Manager during fair peak times
  • General digital ad-hoc, publishing articles and assisting with online content schedule

Essential

  • Comfortable using technical tools and systems
  • Impeccable grammar, spelling and proof-reading
  • And an eye for design and layout
  • Basic understanding of photoshop
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • A proactive and flexible approach

Desirable

  • A basic understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Good working knowledge of SEO
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Ads Manager
  • A keen understanding of digital events programs such as ArtSVP

Working Conditions

  • This is a permanent position
  • Working hours are 35 hours per week
  • This role is based at Surrey Street, London
