For Frieze New York 2022, visitors will be able to experience artworks and virtual galleries in three dimensions
At Frieze New York 2022, a dedicated edition of Frieze Viewing Room will debut a new partnership with Vortic, the leading virtual and augmented reality platform for the art world, who will use cutting-edge immersive technology to create virtual viewing spaces across the online platform. Using Vortic’s advanced rendering engine to accurately replicate paintings, sculptures, installations and video works, viewers will be able to freely navigate each virtual space in 3D, as can be seen in Vortic's video above.
Opening five days ahead of the fair on Friday, May 13, 11am EST until May 22, 6pm EST, visitors to the Frieze Viewing Room will be able to preview all gallery presentations, search artworks by artist, price, date and more, chat with galleries, and explore new immersive 3D rooms.
