Frieze Seoul 2023 is open at COEX in the South Korean capital until September 9. Here are highlights from the opening day of the fair

The second edition of Frieze Seoul opened September 6, 2023, and runs until September 9. With more than a hundred galleries, there was great buzz around the fair that saw important speeches, performances and innovative installations.

Here is the opening day in pictures, including the Focus Asia section featuring works by Yuko Mohri and Sinae YOO, booths dedicated to looking at historical art from a contemporary perspective in the Frieze Masters section, and a sculptural intervention by Frieze Seoul Artist Award winner WOO Hannah.
