최지원(b.1996, 서울 거주 및 활동)은 이화여자대학교 서양화과 학사 및 석사를 졸업했고, 개인전 ≪채집된 방≫(디스위켄드룸, 2023)과 ≪차가운 불꽃≫ (디스위켄드룸, 2020)을 개최했다. 주요 참여 단체전으로는 ≪自我 아래 기억, 自我 위 꿈≫(서울대학교미술관, 2023), ≪Future Solos 2≫(베저할레, 2023), ≪Deep Layer≫(아트스페이스 호화, 2023), ≪비록 보이지 않더라도≫(대전창작센터, 2023), ≪당신의 가장 찬란한 순간≫(경기도미술관, 2022), ≪사유의 베일≫(일우스페이스, 2022), ≪매니폴드: 사용법≫(예술의전당 한가람미술관, 2021) and ≪0인칭의 자리≫(디스위켄드룸, 2021) 등이 있으며 2023년 퍼플릭아트 뉴히어로, 2020년 서울문화재단 예술창작지원 작가로 선정되었다. 2020년 국립현대미술관 미술은행에 작품이 소장된 바 있다.

Jiwon Choi holds BFA and MFA in Painting from Ewha Womans University, and has held solo shows ≪Collecting Chamber≫(ThisWeekend Room, 2023), ≪Cold Flame≫ (ThisWeekendRoom, 2020). She has also participated in various group shows, including ≪Memories beneath the ego, fantasy above the ego≫(Seoul National University Museum of Art, 2023), ≪Future Solos 2≫(Weserhalle, 2023), ≪Deep Layer≫ (Artspace Hohwa, 2023), ≪Unseen≫(Daejeon Creative Center, 2023), ≪The Most Brilliant Moments For You≫(Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art, 2022), ≪Veil of Thought≫(Ilwoo Space, 2022), ≪Manifold: Manual≫(Seoul Arts Center Hangaram Design Museum, 2021) and ≪Is there any place for us?≫(ThisWeekendRoom, 2021), and was a selected artist for New Hero by Public Art Magazine an the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture’s Artist Support Program. Choi’s work has been collected by the Government Art Bank of MMCA in 2020.
