Pippy Houldsworth Gallery represents an international list of emerging and established artists, over two-thirds of these being women. The gallery has presented the first UK solo shows of a number of significant artists, including Jadé Fadojutimi, Jacqueline de Jong, Cassi Namoda, Faith Ringgold, Alina Szapocznikow and Carrie Mae Weems. Group shows are rooted in intergenerational dialogue: Agnes Martin, Mary Kelly and Kenturah Davis; Hans Haacke, Andrea Bowers and Sharon Hayes; and Helen Frankenthaler alongside RA graduate Aimée Parrott. The Box, our microproject space, has provided context for specially commissioned works by Susan Hiller, Woody De Othello, Lotty Rosenfeld, Martha Rosler, Arlene Shechet, Yinka Shonibare CBE and Ai Weiwei. On behalf of its artists, the gallery prioritises relationships with museums, recently placing works with MoMA, NY; Tate, London; Centre Pompidou, Paris; LACMA, LA; The Studio Museum, NY; Walker Arts Center, MN; ICA Miami; Baltimore Museum of Art; and The Hepworth Wakefield.
