Congratulations to Mike Nelson, who has been selected to represent Britain at the 54th Venice Biennale next year.
H.P. Lovecraft, Borges, Stanislaw Lem and Ballard – Nelson has written about the books that have influenced him in the current issue of frieze. You can read his ‘Ideal Syllabus’ here.

Though I wonder whether the Giardini will be as male-dominated as last year – have any of the other pavilions been announced already?
