Michal Rovner’s site-specific 16-metre long video collage is the latest commission to be unveiled as part of the Crossrail Art Programme, which launched in 2010.
One of ten major works of public art being integrated into seven of the new stations, Transitions addresses themes of humanity, history and time. Representing the undercurrent of human movement in the metropolis, the artwork also captures the dynamic character of the new Canary Wharf Elizabeth line station.
Michal Rovner is represented by Pace. Transitions has been sponsored by Canary Wharf Group plc and the City of London Corporation.
