Gallery Assistants (Temporary), Frieze

There are opportunities to work for galleries as booth assistants providing onsite support during Frieze London 2021 (13-17 October 2021 with some training in the preceding weeks).  Successful applicants will be engaged and managed by the relevant gallery. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Close communication with staff based in the gallery and on-site 
  • Assist clients and visitors during the art fair, including providing a general introduction to the gallery, exhibiting artworks and artists 
  • Act as liaison between art fair organizer and the gallery if necessary 
  • Perform day-to-day administrative activities and report to the gallery staff, including gathering sales inquiries and client information, and participate in post-fair online briefing 
  • Maintain appearances for the booth and help ensure the safety of artworks 

  Skills & experience required: 

  • Proven customer service skills 
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Used to working in a busy environment using initiative 
  • Proactive and pragmatic attitude 
  • Experience of working in a gallery or institution would be useful 

Dates of employment:  13 to 17 October with some training in preceding weeks
