The Frieze Library: Volume One

In collaboration with Gordon Robichaux, Frieze is building a new collection of books that will be donated to the Thomas J. Watson Library at the Metropolitan Museum of Art

in Frieze New York , News | 11 MAY 19

At Frieze New York 2019, Frieze is launching 'The Frieze Library: Volume One' conceived and organized by Gordon Robichaux, NY.

All galleries participating in the fair were invited to submit one art publication for review and inclusion in the library. The curated selection of printed material was presented on a bookshelf within the publication section of the fair.

At the conclusion of the fair, the Frieze Library will be donated to the Thomas J. Watson Library, the research library of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Watson Library has a collection of more than one million volumes and is open to researchers six days a week. This collection of publications will be a reflection of the current moment as seen through the eyes of artists and art world professionals alike, and subsequently will function as an archive. A bibliography with a full list of titles is available online and at the fair.
