Claudia Roden is a cookbook writer and social anthropologist based in London, UK. Born and raised in Egypt, her books include ‘The New Book of Middle Eastern Food’ (1970), ‘The Food of Italy’ (1990) and ‘The Book of Jewish Food’ (1996). Among her prizes are the Premio Orio Vergani and six Glenfiddich awards.
