OMR and Troika, a London-based contemporary art group formed by Eva Rucki, Conny Freyer, and Sebastien Noel, invite you to a guided visit of Borrowed Light, Troika's site specific installation at the Barbican Centre.
Borrowed Light is a large scale work that transforms the Lightwell of the Barbican into a setting for an artificial infinite loop of sunset and sunrise. A suspended 20m scroll of slow-moving custom-printed photographic filters immerses the space in a continually changing aura of coloured light. Rather than creating a recorded reality, Borrowed Light blurs the boundaries between experience and physical spheres, natural and man–made spaces.
