The current exhibition includes works by Rauschenberg from two series: the Carnal Clocks (1969) and Studies for Currents (1970). The Clocks are five-by-five foot illuminated boxes, with a silkscreened, mirrored Plexiglas face. The Studies are collages made from pieces of cut or torn newspaper. Both highlight the expansiveness of Rauschenberg’s social and political concerns. In addition, related Polaroids, prints, and a painting will be on view.
Attendees will be given an intimate tour of both the works on display and the magnificent, historic building by members of the Foundation's curatorial staff.
