Digital Event - Michael Hoppen Gallery - A Conversation About Japanese Photographer Masahisa Fukase

To celebrate their current exhibition of hand-painted vintage prints by Japanese photographer Masahisa Fukase, the Michael Hoppen Gallery will host a virtual conversation between screenwriter and director Mark Gill and curator Dr. Lena Fritsch. Mark Gill is a BAFTA and Academy Award nominated film-maker, currently working on an upcoming biopic about Fukase’s life. Dr. Lena Fritsch is Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. Her research has focussed on Japanese art and photography, and her recent publications include Ravens & Red Lipstick: Japanese Photography since 1945 (Thames & Hudson, 2018).
