In 1995, Vanity Fair inaugurated the Hollywood Issue. Twenty-six years later, the annual issue continues to highlight up-and-coming and established stars that have made significant contributions to cinema. For the 2020 Hollywood Issue, editor in chief Radhika Jones features Eddie Murphy, Renée Zellweger, and Jennifer Lopez on the cover. They appear, alongside 20 other extraordinary actors and actresses, in a photo portfolio shot by Ethan James Green, simulating a cinematic "road to Hollywood.”
For this special Frieze VIP event, the Annenberg Space for Photography, together with Vanity Fair, will host a reception and conversation about the making of the 2020 Hollywood Issue. Vanity Fair’s Britt Hennemuth will moderate this conversation between Da'Vine Joy Randolph (Dolemite Is My Name, High Fidelity), photographer Ethan James Green, and exhibition documentary director Alex Horwitz.
