What You'll Do:
We are seeking a skilled Image Researcher to join our Digital Content Team. The Image Researcher will play a pivotal role in sourcing, selecting, and managing images for our social media channels as well as support image research for five fair related print publications. They will be responsible for ensuring that all images are cleared for rights and properly credited. Additionally, the Image Researcher will manage our extensive image archive for past and current gallery presentations at our art fairs.
Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:
- Collaborate with all teams to ensure timely delivery of images for print and digital channels.
- Support with comprehensive image research for four issues of Frieze Week magazine and one issue of Frieze Masters magazine, selecting high-quality images that align with editorial themes and content requirements.
- Clear rights and purchase images as necessary, adhering to budgetary constraints and licensing agreements.
- Curate and organize image content for social media posts, selecting visually compelling images to promote both print and online content.
- Select and prioritize images for promotional materials, including advertisements, banners, and posters, to enhance the visibility of our publications and events.
- Manage the archive of images for current and past gallery presentations at our art fairs, ensuring easy accessibility for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in image research, copyright clearance, and digital asset management.
You Will Have The Following Strengths:
- Bachelor's degree in art history, Visual Arts, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Proven experience in image research and rights clearance, preferably in a publishing or creative agency environment.
- Strong understanding of copyright laws and licensing agreements, with the ability to negotiate terms and permissions.
- Proficiency in digital asset management systems and image editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative eye for selecting visually engaging images that resonate with target audiences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and their respective image requirements and best practices.
- Passion for the arts and a keen interest in visual culture.
