About the Work
Mnemonics of Shape and Reason expresses the memory of a lost place and time. The artist overlays fragmentary images of reassembled landscapes with atmospheric music and snatches of poetry. Linking land, sky, sea, myth, place, and spirituality, this short film is a powerful meditation on colonial devastation, selfhood, and indigeneity.
The 13th Seoul Mediacity Biennale (SMB13) × Frieze Film Seoul 2025
The 13th Seoul Mediacity Biennale presents a special screening program curated by artistic directors Anton Vidokle, Hallie Ayres and Lukas Brasiskis for Frieze Film Seoul 2025. The screenings will take place on the rooftop of Seoul Museum of Art and feature a selection of artists’ films that converge spiritual, mystical, and magical forces on the screen in ways that change our understanding of everyday life. Composed in four chapters - Harmony, Reclaiming, Communion, and Waking Dreams - the screening programme will be accompanied by introductions by the artistic directors and a reception on the programme’s opening day.
