
Emily Wei Rales, Director and Co-Founder of Glenstone Museum, will be in conversation with James Rondeau, President and Eloise W. Martin Director of The Art Institute of Chicago, about the model of private museums and the vision behind the Glenstone Museum. Launched in 2006 in Maryland, it will soon become one of the largest private museums in the world with the new 204,000-square-foot expansion, opening in the Fall of 2018.
Emily Wei Rales is the Director and Co-founder of the Glenstone Museum, which houses one of the world’s premier modern art collections with work by artists such as Willem de Kooning, Jackson Pollock, Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Andy Goldsworthy, Richard Serra, Ellsworth Kelly, Robert Gober, On Kawara, Bruce Nauman, Cy Twombly and John Baldessari.
James Rondeau is the President and Eloise W. Martin Director of the Art Institute of Chicago. Mr. Rondeau has organized over 30 solo exhibitions and has also been responsible for large survey exhibitions with artists such as Jeff Wall, Jasper Johns, Cy Twombly and Steve McQueen.
