Artist Fred Eversley will lead a walk-through of his exhibition Chromospheres, his first show at David Kordansky Gallery. Based in Venice, California and New York, Eversley has been making sculptures about the experience of light, color, transparency, and opacity for almost 50 years. Produced by one of the only African-American artists associated with Light and Space, his three-dimensional meditations on color–particularly the iconic lens-like forms that appear in this show––prompt questions about how the biological and optical mechanics of sight determine how we see and understand each other.
