To celebrate Frieze Week, artist Clarissa Tossin will be present at the gallery during extended open hours.
Tossin's solo exhibition, Disorientation Towards Collapse, is a a meditation on the global industrial complex, its roots, and its legacy, in view of both the present and the world to come. Touching on the relentless extraction of Earth’s natural resources even as the corporatist agenda sets its sights on new riches to be mined in space, the artist unpacks the gritty consequences of three centuries' unwavering faith in progress—the inheritance of industrial capitalism—to confront us with the perverse absurdity of the world we are leaving to posterity.
The gallery is staying open until 8pm along with neighboring spaces LaPau, Hannah Hoffman, O Townhouse, and New Low. Starting at 5pm, there will be refreshments served and LaPau will host DJ sets by Mex Tape and DJ Lengua (Eamon Ore-Giron).
No RSVP is required to attend the event
