Applications for the Deutsche Bank Frieze Los Angeles Film Award 2022 are now closed.

This initiative presented in partnership with Endeavor Content and critically-acclaimed Ghetto Film School offers a platform and development program to ten emerging filmmakers culminating at Frieze Los Angeles in February 2022 with two prizes – Jury Award and Audience Award.

Selected fellows will participate in an intensive four-month virtual program led by GFS and Endeavor Content to produce individual short films.

The films produced by the fellows will be screened during Frieze Los Angeles 2022.

A jury comprised of leading figures in contemporary art and entertainment will select the Jury Award winner and the public will be able to cast their votes and nominate their winner for the Audience Award.

Eligibility

Creative duos and partnerships are not eligible to apply. Applicants must be 18-34 years old and reside in the greater Los Angeles area.

Ten fellows will be chosen based on initial applications. In the second phase, selected Fellows will be required to create a 3-4 minute film based on a creative prompt.

Previous winners of the Deutsche Bank Frieze Los Angeles Film Award have been, Silvia Lara in 2019 and John Rizkallah and Jane Chow in 2021
