About Jeremy Pope

Multi-hyphenate, Jeremy Pope is an Emmy-, Golden Globe-, and two-time Tony-nominated performer who earned critical praise for his leading performance in the feature film The Inspection for A24. For his performance, Pope was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in the “Best Actor – Feature” category, as well as an Independent Spirit Award in the “Lead Performance” category and received the “Distinguished Performance” award at the SCAD Film Festival and the “Virtuoso Award” at the Santa Barbara FIlm Festival. Gracing the cover of Variety, he was named in its “10 Actors to Watch in 2022” and included on Entertainment Weekly’s “Must List”. Pope recently showcased his photojournalism series, “FLEX(bitch)” at The SCOPE Art Show during Art Basel in Miami. This series explores Pope’s journey to manhood, masculinity and self-love. Pope starred on Broadway as Jean-Michel Basquiat opposite Paul Bettany as Andy Warhol in The Collaboration. Pope originated the role at London’s The Young Vic theater and can be seen in the forthcoming feature film adaptation written by four-time Oscar nominee Anthony McCarten. The Collaboration marked Pope’s return to Broadway after making history earning two Tony Award nominations in the same season for “Best Lead Actor in a Play” and “Best Supporting Actor in a Musical” for his work on Choir Boy and Ain’t Too Proud. Pope starred in Netflix’s Hollywood, a performance that earned him an Emmy Award nomination for “Best Actor in a Limited Series” and an African American Film Critics Association “Breakout Performer” award. He can be seen in the final season of the Emmy-nominated television series Pose. Whether it’s walking the runway for Gucci or Rihanna's, Savage Fenty, Pope continues to make a cultural impact in the fashion space. Pope’s single “Worth a Million” premiered exclusively with Vogue, a project that Pope collaborated on with award-winning choreographer Parris Goebel and director C Prinz. Their next visual collaboration will release this year. Pope is the recipient of GLAAD’s Stephen F. Kolzak Award for having made “a significant difference in raising visibility and promoting acceptance of LGBTQ people and issues.”
